This creation is inspired by the journey by sailing boat around the Cyclades islands of the Greek archipelago and its bouquet contains all the colours and flavours of the most genuine and southernmost Mediterranean. The essence of summer, without a care in the world, and full of inebriating scents blown into the area by the ÒMeltemiÓ (typical wind of these latitudes), with its warm, sensual embrace, is magically contained in this fragrance inspired by the unspoiled, ancestral beauty of the Mediterranean. The strong aroma of coffee, made in an ancient ÒmokaÓ (typical coffee-making machine) floats through the crisp morning air, penetrated by the iridescent light reflected in the sea. The gaze immediately hurtles towards that infinite blue, framed by plants and flowers with a strong scent, made even sweeter and more mellow by the faraway reverberation of scents of honey and sweet amber resin. Precious essences jealously guarded in ultra-fine glass bottles, which recall the ancient splendours of the island, still there in the form of its famous ruins of the temples of Apollo where Ulysses landed during his epic adventures. The hypnotic force of white hyacinth, combined with the opulence of royal iris and ecstasy rose, surrenders itself to the embrace of sweet myrrh and roasted coffee, against a fine background of amber and cypress notes, mellowed by hints of honey. The entire combination is enhanced by the strong hint of Lebanese cedar wood. The top opens with notes as unusual and esoteric as the brilliant mind which conceived these gardens, with the exotic sweetness of coconut accompanied by a combination of pear and succulent plum offset against the gentle bitterness of almond. These unique, innovative top notes rest on a bed of millions of precious flowers like the garden of Eden. The middle is the true essence of this creation, in which the mellowness and hypnotic seduction of jasmine, paired with the distinctive and irresistible allure of tuberose, is underscored by the steady strength of the bouquets of freesia and musk rose in counterpoint with lily of the valley, black magnolia - which flowers only once every two years - and white iris. Underpinning the entire creation is a solid foundation of base notes with prized woody essences - namely Indian sandalwood and oakmoss - which, however, is softened by the sweetness of vanilla emphasized by the deafening silence of musk.
